Shadows on the Bus Stop is a short video I made in 2014 while waiting at the Krušnohorská bus stop in Ústí nad Labem.

I noticed the shadows of people being projected onto the bus stop wall by the headlights of passing cars. As I set up my camera, a group of students crossed the street, passing the headlights of the car letting them pass.

For a brief moment, their silhouettes were projected onto the canvas of a bus stop wall, forming a transient shadow play on the surface of the bus stop. The students then crossed the threshold into the real world footage.

A jogger appeared in the frame, and his shadow joined the moving canvas on the bus stop wall. I was extremely lucky to capture this moment as it unfolded. It now exists only in this recorded form.
